A 2-hour tour of the Hacienda visiting all our cultivation areas and of course visiting the Famous House of Doña Pacifica Fernández, and its history.

At the turn of the XIXth century, every time don Bernardo Soto Alfaro and his wife Doña Pacifica Fernandez Guardia wanted to get away from the bustie of the Presidency of Costa Rica, they isolated themselves in a piece of land nestied between the rivers Corobici and Tenorio. They could never have imagined what their paradise of tranquility in Guanacaste´s dry Pacific would turn into more than 100 years later.

Exlpore our Pitayhaya garden with an area of 600m2 and 254 plants during a one hour journey. Each visitor can freely walk through the model plantation, admire the beauty of the flowers when they open and the wild life that develops with insects pollinating the flowers. During the tour the guide will give you a comprehensive explanation about the cultivation of pitahaya.

Tenorio River is a beautiful river that winds its way through the Guanacaste mountain range along a deep, red-rock canyon surrounded by magnificent landscapes of low, tropical and dry forest.
